 Paint Supplies and Decorating was started in 1948 by Maritime Industrial, as a distribution outlet for their paint line. They were a C.I.L. dealer at the time. The business was managed by George Watson who purchased it a few years later.
In the early 60's Mr. Watson took on the Benjamin Moore line, and within a year dropped C.I.L. to become a sole Benjamin Moore distributor.
In the late 60's the business was purchased by Norm Cole who kept it for only a short time and subsequently sold it to Gordon Hagen. At this time, the name was changed to Paint Supplies (N.B.) Limited and was located on Waterloo Street, on the site currently home to Tim Hortons.
A fire in late 1973 substantially destroyed this location, and Mr. Hazen acquired the present location from N.B. Liquor in early 1974.
In 1995, the business was sold to Bernie Regenbogen, who was the store manager at the time. The name was changed again at that time to Paint Supplies & Decorating Inc.
In 1996, opened a second location in Quispamsis at the site of Cathcart's Decorating, a small paint store which had recently closed.
In 1999, both stores were remodelled (the Quispamsis location was moved and enlarged) to conform to Benjamin Moore's "Signature Store” concept.
We serve our retail customers with:

- decorative trim and ceiling medallions
- on staff interior decorators for in-store or in-home consultations
In addition, we serve our commercial customers with:
- 2 high quality lines of contractor paint.

- Benjamin Moore's Industrial Maintenance Coatings (I.M.C.) for commercial and industrial applications requiring high-performance coatings.
